HOT A$$ ART II

Blogging is hard. Here is more art. I like this artist two. Too. Yoko Inoue. She makes ceramic objects casted from artifacts and garbage. I may actually consider buying some. They would adorn the floor of my over-priced loft in Brookyln or my artists' retreat in New Mexico. Please enjoy.

"YOKO INOUE is a multi-disciplinary artist. In the form of installation, sculpture, public intervention projects and performance art, her work engages issues of globalization, immigrant assimilation, identity and cultural merging. "

HOT A$$ ART

I am shallow, in that I like to rate artworks on a scale of hotness. Art should be attractive, after all, because it has to hold your attention for more than 5 seconds...like the work of Elizabeth Higgins O'Connor. I am a sucker for "soft-sculpture" but I find her monstrous/cuddly forms really resonate. Its almost as if the dust bunnies and lost socks of the world mutated and molded together to form your favorite stuffed animal...times 10.
